Meguiar’sD301 DA Microfiber Finishing Wax is the perfect choice for polishing OEM paint by removing light defects and enhancing shine while also applying wax protection. Optimized for use with Meguiar’s DA Backing Plate (DBP3 – 3”, DBP5 – 5” or DBP6 – 6”), Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Finishing Disc (DMF5 or DMF6) and a DA Polisher, like Meguiar’s MT300 Dual Action Polisher. Formulated to refine the surface and apply protection after using the D300 DA Microfiber Correction Compound for moderate defect removal. However, the D301 also excels as a one-step to remove light defects, enhance gloss and apply wax protection. The DA Microfiber Finishing Disc employs advanced microfiber technology that works with the D301to refine the surface to a swirl-free, high gloss finish. Quickly remove any light swirls or holograms that may be on the surface and apply wax that wipes off very easily. D301 DA Microfiber Finishing Wax is currently available in 16 oz and 1 gallon sizes.
Tips for best results when using Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Finishing Wax
- Always work on a cool surface and in the shade.
- Wash and dry the vehicle with a premium automotive wash, like Meguiar’s Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner G7101FFP or Meguair’s Ultimate Wash & Wax G17701
- Evaluate the paint. Use Meguiar’s Professional Detailing Clay C2000 with Last Touch Spray Detailer D15501 (diluted 1:1) to remove bonded contaminants like overspray or fall out.
- When using Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Finishing Wax, apply with a DA Microfiber Finishing Disc and Meguiar’s DA Backing Plate on a da polisher, like Meguiar’s MT300 Dual Action Polisher.
- Prime the disc by distributing the DA Microfiber Finishing Wax thin and evenly over the entire pad.
- Set the polisher to 3,800 OPM’s and place disc flat on the paint. Work a section using 3-5 overlapping passes until the desired finish is achieved.
- Once the wax is dry, use a clean Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel for easy streak-free removal.
- Work in sections over the vehicle.
- To obtain the best results, it’s important to frequently clean discs using compressed air or a pad cleaning brush.
- If moderate paint correction is needed precede with Meguiar’s DA Microifber Cutting Disc and D300 DA Microfiber Correction Compound, or if heavier cut is needed use Meguiar’s DA Microfiber XTra Cut Disc and the D300 DA Microfiber Correction Compound.
- If you want to maximize your results with Meguiar’s Microfiber System, you could use a DA Microfiber Cutting Disc with D300 DA Microfiber Correction Compound, follow with a DA Microfiber Finishing Disc and D302 DA Microfiber Polish, and then finalize with a DA Microfiber Finishing Disc and D301 DA Microfiber Finishing Wax. Doing this three-step would provide outstanding paint correction, maximize depth of shine and leave a long-lasting wax protection.
