Meguiar’s D300 DA Microfiber Correction Compound is the perfect “go to” compound for removing light to moderate paint defects in OEM paint like scratches, etchings, stains, swirls and holograms while enhancing shine with your dual action variable speed polisher. Optimized for use with Meguiar’s DA Backing Plate (DBP3 – 3”, DBP5 – 5” or DBP6 – 6”) and Meguiar’sDA Microfiber Cutting Disc (DMC3 – 3”, DMC5 – 5” or DMC6 – 6”). The DA Microfiber Cutting Disc employs advanced microfiber technology that works with the D300 to quickly and effectively cut through defects without leaving behind further swirls. If more cutting is needed, you can get moderate to severe defect removal by stepping up the D300with Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Xtra Cut Disc (DMX5 – 5” or DMX6 – 6”). After you’ve removed the majority of your paint defects, follow with Meguiar’s D302 DA Microfiber Finishing Polishto refine the surface and boost gloss before finalizing with the wax or sealant of your choice.
Alternatively, skip D302 and go right to Meguiar’s D301 DA Microfiber Finishing Wax and Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Finishing Disc (DMF3 – 3”, DMF5 – 5” or DMF6 – 6”) to further refine the surface and apply wax protection to the paint. Tips for best results when using Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Correction Compound
- Always work on a cool surface and in the shade.
- Wash and dry the vehicle with a premium automotive was like Meguiar’s Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner.
- Evaluate the paint. Use Meguiar’s Professional Detailing Clay C2000with Last Touch Spray Detailer (diluted 1:1) to remove bonded contaminants like overspray or fall out.
- Use a DA Microfiber Cutting Disc with Meguiar’s DA Backing Plate, Meguiar’sDA Microfiber Correction Compound D300 and da polisher like Meguiar’s MT300 Dual Action Polisher.
- Prime disc by distributing the DA Microfiber Correction Compound thin and evenly over the entire pad.
- Set the polisher to 4,800 OPM’s and place disc flat on the paint. Work a 2’ x 2’ area. Start with 2-3 passes of moderate pressure followed by 2-3 passes of light pressure over the same area.
- Remove residue before it dries with a clean Microfiber Towel.
- Repeat as needed.
- For maximum cutting ability, it’s important to frequently clean discs using compressed air or a pad cleaning brush.
- If more cut is needed use a Meguiar’s DA Microfiber XTra Cut Disc with the D300 DA Microfiber Correction Compound.
